AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE NHS FLU VACCINATION? Flu vaccinations can reduce your risk of catching flu and passing it on. If you do catch flu, it can mean you’ll have milder symptoms and recover quicker. Free flu vaccinations are available through the NHS to certain groups. Those eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination in 2024/25 are: • Those aged 65 years and over • Those aged 6 months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups • People who are pregnant • All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2024 • School-aged children (Reception to Year 11), even if not in school • Those in long-stay residential care homes • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person • Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals • Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme. Protect yourself and those around you. Ask a member of staff if you are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination.
